Camp Bylin USA
Construction Date: March & April 2002
Lumber:
Logs were milled from 1¼” Douglas Fir dowels which were harvested from a near by Home Depot lumber rack isle P. The store was a mere four miles from the construction site. The trip would take a good 30 minutes. There were multiple paths in which to leave the establishment, and selecting the correct one would sometimes affect the round trip time. They would always check your I.D. at time of check out.
Masonry:
The river rocks were gathered along the upper basin of south Bannock St. in Littleton. CO. The river was dry so the gathering was not difficult. Selecting the perfect stones was the most tedious job. Thin rocks were the preferred stone and there were few to choose from.
Systems In Place:
Bylin's Original RIM system eave panel and a valley panel are fabricated out of copper, and are shown on the left side of the lodge.
RIM-2 is shown on the right wing of the lodge, and is the brown Kynar coated aluminum material.
WFP-6 snow-melt cable is shown on the far left wing of the lodge, and it has been installed in the traditional serpentine pattern.
